Welcome to the College Management Committee (CMC) of Itahari Namuna College. As the Chairman, I am honored to share with you our unwavering commitment to fostering excellence in higher education. Our dedicated team strives to create a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment where students can thrive and achieve their full potential.

Objective, Formation, Meeting & Duration

Objectives

  • To promote the holistic development of the students by designing market-driven courses and capacity-building programs.
  • To supplement the teaching-learning process with credited and non-credited additional focused programs.
  • To incubate students to develop as dignified and socially accountable citizens of the country.
  • To foster physical, mental, environmental, and emotional health and well-being of the students and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design credited and non-credited programs and courses in coordination with Program Directors to supplement the gaps in the existing curriculum.
  • Execute credited and non-credited programs and courses in a cost-recovery and self-sustainable model.
  • Identify and encourage students to participate in different programs based on their skills, talent, and interests.
  • Assess the learning outcomes and impact of the executed credited and non-credited programs and courses in coordination with IQAC.
  • Ensure the Board of Directors designates one person for the extension activity.
  • Adopt the community for the extension program of the College.
  • Develop the annual extension program emphasizing the continual community transformation by transferring the skills earned by the students in the College.
  • Encourage staff and faculty to take part in extension activities and lobby with the Board of Directors to include it in the teacher performance appraisal.
  • Formulate and implement an annual plan of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to be conducted in the college.
  • Locate local, national, and international student development programs, meets, and competitions; and ensure meaningful participation of the students.
  • Formalize MoUs with sports academies/centers and sports trainers to uphold physical education for the students and staff.
  • Manage the necessary materials for sports through the PFC and make arrangements for the storage of the purchased materials by documenting them.
  • Organize annual sports week and recognize students with exceptional sports skills through financial aid, prizes, or certification.
  • Manage and facilitate the conduct of at least one competition or event (debate, essay writing, poetry, singing, dance, discussion, quiz, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, etc.) every month by preparing an annual plan.
  • Celebrate occasions and event days such as Environment Day, Literacy Day, Constitution Day, Women’s Day, AIDS Day, etc.
  • Impart a sense of civic responsibility and moral education through mediation, yoga, and motivational programs.
  • Organize events such as Blood Donation, Tree Plantation, Adult Literacy, Waste Management, Awareness Programs, Community Development, Health Camps, Feeding Programs, and other social events in collaboration with GOs, NGOs, INGOs, Private Organizations, and other colleges or clubs by signing agreements or exchanging formal letters.
  • Provide consultancy services based on the expertise of the students and staff of the college.
  • Plan and organize different programs with the Alumni Association.
  • Reward students based on their performance in extra-curricular activities.
  • Emphasize sharing college facilities and resources with external agencies.
  • Keep the college clean, green, and pollution-free.
  • Manage a health desk for primary healthcare facilities, including sanitary pads for female students and staff, and a sick room.
  • Establish linkage for immediate tertiary healthcare facilities with ambulance services in case of an emergency.
  • Conduct annual health check-ups and screenings for students and staff and maintain health records.
  • Submit event reports to the College Chief within seven days of event completion.
  • Maintain meeting minutes in a separate minutes book.
  • Provide narrative and financial reports in the prescribed format (Annex 20) within 15 days of the new academic year.
