Message from the EMIS Coordinator

Welcome to the Education Management Information System (EMIS) of Itahari Namuna College. As the Coordinator, I am honored to lead this dedicated team committed to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of our educational processes through efficient data management. Our goal is to support informed decision-making, improve resource allocation, and promote transparency and accountability within our institution.

We believe that an effective EMIS is crucial for fostering a dynamic and data-driven educational environment. Our vision is to build a robust system that not only supports academic excellence but also addresses administrative needs and contributes to the overall development of the college.

Objectives, Formation, Meeting & Duration

Objectives

  • To promote and facilitate the collection, analysis, and dissemination of educational data among faculty and administrative staff.
  • To support the development and implementation of data-driven strategies aligned with national and international educational standards.
  • To foster a collaborative environment through partnerships with academic, industry, and government entities.
  • To enhance transparency and accountability in the management of educational resources.

Formation of EMIS

1.1. The following members appointed by the College Management Committee shall constitute the EMIS team:

  • Coordinator: Coordinator of the BCA Department
  • Member: Finance Head
  • Member: IT Personnel
  • Member: IT Personnel
  • Member: Student Representative
  • Member: Student Representative

Terms of Team

2.1. Members of the Committee, including the Coordinator, serve for terms up to four years.

2.2. An appointed external member may be appointed to serve additional terms with the approval of the management committee of the College.

Quorum

3.1. The quorum for meetings of the Committee shall be above 51% of the total members of the Committee.

Meeting Schedule

4.1. The Committee should meet at least once a month.

4.2. The member-secretary, in coordination with the Coordinator, is responsible for determining the meeting date, time, and agenda.

4.3. The Coordinator can increase, pre-schedule, or postpone the meeting as per the need of the work and task.

Reporting

5.1. The Committee shall report to the College Chief through letter correspondence or in-person meetings.

5.2. The Committee will submit an annual report of its progress to the IQAC.

Duties and Responsibilities

6.1. Develop and implement a comprehensive data management framework for the College.

6.2. Collect, process, and analyze educational data to support strategic planning and decision-making.

6.3. Ensure the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of educational data.

6.4. Facilitate training programs to enhance data management skills among faculty and administrative staff.

6.5. Establish collaborations with external organizations for data sharing and benchmarking.

6.6. Ensure ethical standards in all data management activities conducted under the College.

6.7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data management practices and provide regular updates to the College Management Committee.

6.8. Promote the dissemination of educational data through reports, publications, and other platforms.

6.9. Recognize and reward outstanding contributions to data management and utilization from faculty and staff.
