Message from the IDMSC Coordinator

Welcome to the Infrastructure Development & Maintenance Sub-Committee (IDMSC) of Itahari Namuna College. As the Coordinator, I am privileged to lead this dedicated team devoted to enhancing the infrastructure quality and sustainability of our institution. Our primary aim is to ensure optimal utilization of resources, effective maintenance, and the continuous development of facilities conducive to academic excellence and student well-being.

We believe that a robust infrastructure is fundamental to providing a conducive learning environment and supporting the holistic growth of our academic community. With your collaboration and support, we aspire to realize our vision of a college equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, fostering innovation, inclusivity, and growth.

Objectives, Formation, Meeting & Duration

Objectives:

  1. Develop a comprehensive master plan for college and expansion processes.
  2. Prepare annual repair and maintenance plans for physical materials and infrastructure.
  3. Develop strategies for the optimal utilization of infrastructure.
  4. Enhance infrastructure facilities for sports and hostel accommodations.
  5. Ensure the provision of clean drinking water, sanitation, and facilities for differently-abled individuals.
  6. Establish collaborations with agencies and contractors for infrastructure repair, maintenance, and expansion.
  7. Monitor and evaluate infrastructure conditions regularly to ensure functionality and safety.
  8. Implement disaster risk reduction plans for emergency preparedness.

Formation of IDMSC:
1.1. The following members, appointed by the College Management Committee, constitute the IDMSC team:

  • Coordinator: Appointed by the CMC
  • Members: Representatives from Finance, IT, Student Body (x2), External Expert (if required)

Terms of Team:
2.1. Members serve terms of up to four years, including the Coordinator.
2.2. External members may serve additional terms with CMC approval.

Quorum:
3.1. The quorum for meetings shall be above 51% of the total Committee members.

Meeting Schedule:
4.1. The Committee should convene at least once a month.
4.2. Meeting schedules and agendas are determined by the member-secretary in coordination with the Coordinator.

Reporting:
5.1. The Committee reports to the College Chief through correspondence or in-person meetings.
5.2. An annual progress report is submitted to the IQAC for review.
