Message from the SQC Coordinator

Welcome to the Student Quality Circle (SQC) of Itahari Namuna College. As the Coordinator, I am thrilled to guide this dynamic team committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality among our students. Our mission is to empower students to identify, analyze, and solve problems within their educational environment, promoting excellence and innovation.

We believe that the SQC is essential for developing critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills. Our vision is to create a proactive and supportive environment where students take ownership of quality initiatives, driving positive changes within the college community.

Objectives, Formation, Meeting & Duration

Objectives:

1. Enhance Quality: Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the college.
2. Empower Students: Equip students with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
3. Encourage Innovation: Foster creativity and innovation through collaborative projects.
4. Promote Ownership: Encourage student ownership of quality initiatives and projects.
5. Develop Skills: Enhance leadership, teamwork, and communication skills among students.
6. Ensure Sustainability: Implement sustainable practices in quality management.

Formation of SQC:

1. Members: Appointed by the College Management Committee (CMC), including:
   • Coordinator: Appointed by the CMC
   • Members: Representatives from various academic departments and student body

Terms of Team:

1. Term Length: Members, including the Coordinator, serve terms of up to three years.
2. Renewal: Members may be reappointed for additional terms with CMC approval.

Quorum:

1. Requirement: Above 60% of the total Committee members for meetings.

Meeting Schedule:

1. Frequency: At least once every two weeks.
2. Coordination: Schedules and agendas set by the member-secretary in coordination with the Coordinator.

Reporting:

1. To College Chief: Through regular reports and presentations.
2. Annual Review: Submitted to the IQAC for evaluation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Quality Projects: Identify and implement quality improvement projects within the college.
2. Training Sessions: Organize workshops and training sessions on quality management and problem-solving techniques.
3. Collaboration: Foster collaboration with faculty, administration, and external quality experts.
4. Assessment: Regularly assess the impact of quality initiatives and projects.
5. Communication: Maintain clear and open communication regarding quality initiatives and outcomes.
6. Recognition: Acknowledge and reward significant contributions to quality improvement efforts.
7. Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of all activities, projects, and outcomes.
8. Sustainability: Promote and implement sustainable practices in all quality initiatives.
